According to him, the authorities were able to provide some centers with the appropriate gadgets including printers on the third day after commencement hence no card was issued in that period.

Mr Asante disclosed there was a continuous delay resulting in a long queues for Ghanaians without birth certificate or passport.

At some centers, he said, the officers in charge of such vouching sometimes closed at 2pm attributing it to shortage of forms .

The Vice Chairman said the officers also failed to work following the Christmas break as directed by the authority.

Mr Asante advised the authority to visit some of the centers to acquaint themselves with the situation in order to extend the registration period.
