Liverpool Start off from where they left off

Last season it was so near and yet so far so Liverpool, 97 points in the league but still couldn't grab the ultimate, the silver lining was winning the Champions League.

Football is back and the reds from Anfield kicked us off in a grande atmosphere. Baptism of Norwich City came to bare by conceding 4 goals in first half of the action, there was much improvement from the new guys in the second as championship top scorer Teemu Pukki made his presence felt by scoring the consolation for the Canaries. 

Liverpool had a gift of a goal in the 7th minute as Norwich captain Hanley directed Divock Origi's cross into his own net for the opener for the reds.

Egyptian King Mohammed Salah made it 2-0 in the 19th minute with a fine finish when a through ball came in from Firmino and had only Tim Krul to beat which he buried it.

PFA Player of 18-19 season trippled the lead in the 38th minute before Origi rounded up a four goal thriller in the first half with a beautiful header from Alex Arnolds cross in the 42nd minute.

Norwich came in stronger in the second half by creating and squandering numerous chances but Teemu Pukki found the back of the net in the 64th minute.

With this results the reds have sent a strong signal to title contenders about their intentions of winning the premiership after so many years without it.

Rest of the games continues today as Champions Manchester City travels to West Ham United, Spurs will be hosting New boys Aston Villa, Arsenal faces Newcastle at Sports Direct on sunday Whilst Manchester United welcomes Chelsea to the Theatre Of Dreams.
